El Ray are an indie rock band founded in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Their sound relies on influence from The Strokes, Fontaines DC and Sam Fender, resulting in a blend of indie-rock and post-punk. Their songs are a mixture of forlorn lamentations, love letters to home and introspective breakdowns.
